Jacky van Wyk

Jacky is the HOD in the Department of Health Sciences Education (University of Cape Town). She is a FAIMER fellow, founding member and academic co-director of the Sub-Saharan African Regional FAIMER institute. Her research focusses on issues relating to Pedagogy including the conditions impacting on teaching, learning, assessment, and curricular innovations in Medical and Health Professions Education. She is a NRF rated researcher in health professions education and the 2015 recipient of the SAAHE endorsed Distinguished Teacher award. She is an editorial board member for BMC Medical Education, Deputy Editor for the African Journal of Health Professions Education.
